Installation art is art that uses materials that can be sculpted and formed into anything that can change the environment it is in. Often times this kind of art is portrayed in a public landscape, not always a gallery.

Performance art is art that is acted out. Therefore it can not ALWAYS be seen, instead it can only be seen at a certain place and time. Usually on a stage or platform.
